Self Storage Container, a specialized product platform by Prefabex, supplied 40 flat-pack storage containers for a project in French Polynesia. The order included units measuring 2 × 2 m and 2 × 4 m, providing two practical storage capacities for different operational requirements.

Using two different sizes provided greater flexibility for organizing equipment, materials and operational supplies. The compact units are suitable for smaller storage requirements, while the larger containers provide additional capacity for bulkier items.
French Polynesia’s remote location makes transportation efficiency an important project consideration. Supplying the units in flat-pack form reduces their shipping volume compared with delivering fully assembled containers, allowing more units to be transported efficiently.
The flat-pack system also simplifies handling at the destination. Once delivered, the components can be assembled and positioned according to the required project layout.
Manufactured by Prefabex, the containers provide durable and secure storage while supporting efficient use of the available site area. The modular arrangement also allows storage capacity to be expanded by adding further units as operational requirements develop.
